Stacking the Shelves [23]

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where we get to gab on about the books we've won, bought, or otherwise received in the past week. Sorry for the post being on Sunday instead of Saturday. Yesterday my friend Jessica and I went to an apple orchard during a tornado watch..... So I was a little preoccupied! Now, shall we get to the books?

Netgalley:

Who's 50 by Graeme Burk
Pawn by Aimee Carter
Selling Scarlett by Ella James
Star Trek Volume 6: After Darkness by Mike Johnson
Crash into You by Katie McGarry
Four Weddings and a Werewolf by Kristin Miller
The Crow: Curare by James O'Barr
Hitler's Secret by William Osborne

Won:

Maven by S.A. Huchton (Signed, thanks Amanda & S.A.)
Nemesis by S.A. Huchton (Signed, thanks Amanda & S.A.)

What'd you get?

  14. I am SO curious about Hitler's Secret! I have a not-so-secret fascination with him--which stems from having the same birthday--and I couldn't decide if I wanted to commit to at least trying to read that book. I will have to look out for your review!!

    Great haul!! Happy reading!

  18. Nice collection you snagged! WOW. I am especially interested in "Pawn", "Star Trek: After Darkness", "Crash Into You", "Maven", and "Nemesis". And you WON the last two!! CONGRATS!! How lucky for you, since these two sound FANTASTIC!! (I checked all of these books out on Amazon already.) I SO wish that "Four Weddings and a Werewolf" were available in a print edition, since I don't read e-books....and that cover is smokin' HOT. Oh, well.....

Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my own STS!! Following you back, but with GFC! Happy Reading!! : )

I am lucky! I love winning books, it makes me look forward to mail here at the dorm lol. I read ebooks, but only for reviews. I much prefer physical copies, in the grand scheme of things.

  41. Yay for Crash into You and Pawn! I also got a copy of Selling Scarlet awhile back when Ella was in town for a signing, but haven't had a chance to read it. Enjoy your new books!

  42. May I ask WHY you were in an apple orchard during a tornado watch?! That doesn't seem like the best idea ;) I can't wait to read PAWN. It sounds super good. I just hope it doesn't fall into the generic dystopian category. Also, is the CRASH INTO YOU series good? I mean it must be if you requested it but I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't read the other books yet.

    1. It wasn't planned, hahaha. We went to the apple orchard to be fall-y and festive, and then we looked down into the valley and it looked like the apocalypse. We had to drive through it to get back to campus, it was rough. But, we got our cider haha.

And I LOVED Pushing the Limits. I didn't get to read book 2 yet, but I definitely recommend this series.

  49. Why does everyone have Pawn and Crash Into You? Waaa. I think Netgalley hates me, I've put in a request for Crash last 29 Sept and until now, I haven't received feedback yet. *sighs*

As for Pawn, I am not so sure if I want it. I haven't read any of Meg's books so I'm not so sure. Maybe I'll just have to wait for the book to be released and read the reviews. Hahaha.

Please enjoy all your books, Jillyn. Thanks for stopping by Thoughts and Pens.
