  5. Hi,
I'm glad you're getting an early look at my novel, BECOMING DARKNESS. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you like it, since writers like me count on readers like you to get word out about our work. The book doesn't officially release until October of this year, but there seems to be growing number of readers out there eager to have a crack at it. It's billed as something of a mash-up, which is a fair description, given that it embodies elements of alternate history, dystopian, paranormal, thriller, mystery, romance, gothic and maybe a few other genres. I'm hoping readers will find it to be something a little different from everything else out there and gravitate toward it.

It has been a long time getting to this point. My agent sold the book to Switch Press back in the fall of 2013, but such is the nature of the traditional publishing industry, that it is common for a book to take 18 months to two years to run through the system. That's not counting the time my agent and I spent working the book over or the time she spent selling it.

Anyway, I just want to say again that I'm pleased you got a copy and I wish you happy reading!

    Lindsay Brambles
